I wrote a list of goals at the beginning of 2018 and a bunch were smaller goals but then I had a few larger ones, ones I thought were just dreams. I knew I really needed to put myself out there this year to make them happen and reached out to different vendors. I thought what the heck the worst that could happen was that they would say no. But to my HUGE surprise they all agreed to make my dreams come true. Doing a helicopter photoshoot was at the top of my list! I really have to thank my amazing friend and fellow photographer Morgan for giving me the push to just go for it. I love you girl!…

Part two of Laina and Colin’s Willband Creek engagement session has to be one of my favourites from last year!! I remember leaving Cascade Falls the day before and driving home along the Mission bypass. I saw people skating on the frozen pond and I just knew I had to get them out there to do a session. I immediately messaged Laina as soon as I got home to see if her and Colin were up for one more session the next day. See, Laina and I share the same love for figure skating as we both were competitive figure skaters for years and I knew we just had to make this happen. I must mention this was the first…

Lynsey and Will’s gorgeous Abbotsford ¬†backyard wedding at Will’s parent’s home was breathtaking! It was so intimate and laid back . All the details were so personalized and the work both their families put into transforming the backyard into a gorgeous setting was amazing! We met at the always beautiful Douglas Taylor Park for their first look and portraits. I will always remember the way Will looked at Lynsey for the first time in her gown(see below) and when Will asked Lynsey to check to see if he had anything in his teeth we all burst into laughter. I have to say I had the most fun with this group. They had me busting a gut half the time with…

Last spring I got to meet up with the very talented Vanessa from Vanessa Marie Studios and her daughter Lexi for what turned out to be an absolutely gorgeous mother/daughter session. It was an amazing night and the new spring blooms were just the cherry on top. It was so special being able to capture the unbreakable bond between these two. It’s clear that Vanessa absolutely adores Lexi and she is her whole world. . These two walked around the flower field, picked flowers, gave lots of kisses and hugs to each other and even some tickles. I just loved this session so much I’m thinking of offering a few of these session this spring! So stay tuned for that.…
